“Her voice – as pure as it is powerful – expresses feelings intuitively. The arrangements are open, inviting. And the melodies occasionally call to mind Joni Mitchell – they are that strong.”
From the Badische Zeitung’s review of “Through A Webbed Window”, Maeve Kelly’s second solo album released at the beginning of 2010.

Dublin-born Maeve Kelly combines Irish storytelling with sadly-beautiful songs and ballads in the best singer-songwriter tradition. Audiences in her adopted homeland Germany welcome her unaffected charm and heart-on-sleeve approach to performing.
“After years of hiding behind bands, wishing I was Janis Joplin and trying very hard not to be so damned nice, I've finally made peace with my voice and my undeniably suburban Irish musical roots,” she says. Included in Maeve’s list of key influences are artists like Joni Mitchell, Ella Fiztgerald, Kate Bush and Coldplay. “The new album comes after a turbulent couple of years on the home front. It’s personal – but then what’s the point of music if not to express yourself?” .
